Doug Fister $9,000,000 a year for 3 years
I feel that Fister slots between a Shields and Zimmerman contract. He doesn't pitch the number of innings a Shields does each year or get the k rate, but he is younger and a bit more on the steady side.
In comparison of Zimmerman he a very similar pitcher in regards to ERA and WHIP but again he doesn't have the k rate. Plus Zimmerman is hitting his prime years versus Fister who should start to tail off.
