Rangers offer: Brett Gardner 6.5 Million 2017 (2015NT)
I'm going to steal the Phillies analysis he used for Leonys Martin. Brett Gardner is worth more than Pagan but a bit less than Gordon. He's 31. He hit .256 17 home runs/21 steals. At 31, the speed will probably stay around 20. His home runs will probably be 12-14. He'll hit .270 with plenty of runs. He's solid.
Angel Pagan - $5,500,000 (2014NTC)(2018) Alex Gordon - $7,250,000 (2017) Adam Jones - $8,000,000 (2017) after 12
AVG R HR RBI SB OPS Martin .260 66 8 49 36 .698 .274 68 7 40 31 .689
Pagan .288 95 8 56 29 .778 .282 44 5 30 9 .749 (71 games - injured)
Gordon .303 101 23 87 17 .879 .294 93 14 72 10 .822
Jones .280 68 25 83 12 .785 .287 103 32 82 16 .839

Contract would be 2015 NTC not 2014 NTC
Are you offering him 3-yrs or 4-yrs? The wrong 2014 NTC is throwing me off.

Guess I forgot what year it was. I fixed it. Sorry about that. I'm offering him 3 years.

Approval #1.
In a way, I hate the shortness of the contract but given the fact that Gardner will be 34 when it ends tipped me to approval. 34 years old and speed probably isn't a good combo to bet on.

Approval #3 - great price for this year, but Phils summed it up nicely.
