There is an issue with Yankees quitting we are discussing whether to allow this waiver to proceed or pull it back and place him back on Yanks roster.

I am sorry to disappoint everyone, but the TAB have discussed this waiver over the last 6 days and we believe that El Guapo made a rash decision to cut Phelps and given his departure from the league we have to revoke the waiver. Because Phelps was on the DL already, he didn't need to waive him to adhere to the 25 man roster so there doesn't seem to be any logical reason as to why he would be waived. As we have all experienced, logic was not central to El Guapo's thought process.
For the new GMs, this is an exceedingly rare situation and does not reflect on the 25+ other active and relatively sane GMs.
