Angels Trade: Kendy Morales, 1B/DH $10,000,000(2014) (NTC 2013) (Re-Sign) Kevin Jepsen, RHP $300,000 (2014) Hunter Green, LHP
Nationals Trade: Russell Martin, C - $7,000,000 (2015) Brad Peacock, RHP - $400,000 (2018) Garrett Jones, 1B/OF - $400,000 (2014) Tommy Milone, LHP - $300,000 (2017) Josh Smoker, LHP
Angels Accept Trade:
Angels were in need of a catcher badly and Martin is a solid option for a deep league. Peacock and Milone are younger pitchers who might settle into #3/4 starters which helps a Angels team that has no SP. Jones is a good multiple position man who has some pop in his bat, though his SO rate is high. Smoker was just an add in, he has potential being a former 1st rounder with strikeout stuff, but he does has control issues. Time will tell with him. Morales is a good player with great pop, but at 10 million the Angels felt that could be used elsewhere. Jepson is 28, decent hurler, but seemed expendable to the Angels. Green is the biggest lost here, he is only a teenager with great body and arm for the show. But once again the Angels are trying to balance the present with the future and doing this trade helps now and could prove to be good a couple years down the road.

We agree. Continuing to add some pen pieces and Jepsen is a good strikeout guy. Morales adds another bat and allows me to play Swisher in the outfield. And Green is a nice arm that I like a lot who I'm hoping to add to a nice collection of pitching prospects. Parting with Martin, Jones, and Peacock was tough but I'm trying to win this year and I added some impact talent.

Trade should not have been approved we have to verify ownership of all players involved.
Hunter Green was drafted by Brewers in last years FYPD.
