Ya this is low. I'm looking more in the $7.5m - $8m range.

I just look at his numbers and beside last two years he would be a bench player at best. 2012 was a small sample and his true colors showed in 13, where his AVG dropped off a lot last year and his SO jump to some of the highest in the league. Yeah he could hit 20-25 HR but so can a good amount of players. Don't see giving him 8 Mil....only less than 2 plus Mil than someone like Votto.

I wouldnt go as high as that, but prob higher than 1st offer. I think you also get an annual saving for the 5th year and therefore total salary commitment
I do however agree with the premise of your argument

Moss is the definition of a late bloomer.
2012 .291/.358/.954 21 52 1/2 2013 .256/.337/.859 30 87 4/6
I am not looking for really $7.5-$8 Mil but something at least in the $5-$6 Mil range.
Its a learning process but you get 3 cracks at it if you want. You might even feel out the TAB to see what they would approve before your 2nd offer or just make a 2nd offer and if its denied then talk with the tab before your 3rd and final offer so that you can get the # that would get approved so you don't lose him to free agency.
