Sandoval is a interesting case. Only twice has he hit 20+ HR, never hit 100+ RBI, only twice hit .300+, never had an OPS 1.000+. Constant weight issues plague Kung Fu Panda. I actually think this is too high. I was looking for something in the $6-$6.5 mil range.

Approved, I think its fair, it might be a little high but not by much. He would get at least 8 million on the FA market.

I think he would get closer to 10 in FA
So 8.5 is ok with me

Its not about what he would get on the open market IMO. Part of re-signing is getting players for a little less than than what people pay in open FA b/c people generally overpay in FA not pay market value IMO.
Re-Signing to me is more about what a guys value is in real life taking into consideration past re-signs.
Just my 0.02 anyway.

I could see Sandoval getting in the 7-7.5M range. I really wonder about his ability to stay healthy. I had read a report on Rotoworld on January 26th that said, "Pablo Sandoval exited a Venezuelan Winter League playoff game Saturday after he "pulled up lame after running out a ground ball." The report doesn't really surprise me.
