I don't really get this from DET end. Chisenhall is so bad they want Carlos Santana to potentially play 3B. Alex Avila had a horrible 2013.
I am actually leaning towards a veto but want to be fair to Det and try to hear him out first.

Lets say Alonso for Middlebrooks is fair. Drew Smyly is expected to be the Tigers #5 SP and is only 24. Avisail Garcia should be the White Sox starting RF and still very young (22 yo). A 2nd RD FYPD is extremely valuable. Sorry after reviewing this I just can't approve. I think Detroit is giving up too much for what he is getting in return which is two players coming off horrible seasons (Chisenhall and Avila). Veto (2-1)

I would sooner have the KC end of the deal, but I'm not prepared to veto.
There is enough to suggest that the Tigers could do OK out of it.
Chisenhall could be that AAAA player, but if he gets it together and I thinks its his last chance at the Indians and Avila bounces back at a position that I know a few are desperate for then its a good deal for the Tigers.
Yes its a bit of a risk, but this is what trades are for. Trades can only be evaluated in time and this for me is not completely one sides and I wish the Tigers all the best with his gamble
Therefore....
approved 3-2
