I would like to hear why Rangers is doing this deal. I know both guys have struggled in the majors but Buxton would seem to have the higher upside where Bradley is currently working as a RP not a SP in majors.

Yes, I agree that Buxton has a higher potential ceiling than Bradley, and ultimately, a pitcher is more of a risk. I have no closer and I think Bradley has potential as an top tier closer this year or next. If I luck out he learns to command his pitches for more than two times through a line-up and I get a 1 or 2 starter.
In addition, I have another deal going to get a 1st baseman for a mid level starter. The main thing I need to replace when if I lose that starter is the Ks that Bradley has to offer. That's the base level reason for the trade. But I think I'll end up with way more than that.

Seems like both GMs have eyes open on this transaction. While I wouldn't do this deal myself, and it's close to being out of balance, nothing says this is veto-able to me.

I would rather gamble on Buxton than Bradley, but at this point both are gambles.
