Drew Pomeranz's last three seasons -
2015 86 IP 82 Ks 3.66 ERA 1.19 WHIP 2016 170 IP 186 Ks 3.32 ERA 1.18 WHIP 2017 173 IP 174 Ks 3.32 ERA 1.35 WHIP
He was primarily used as a reliever in 2015. Weird skill set which is basically 2 pitches that pair well but the fastball is only 91 mph. Prone to bad starts but repeated success 2 seasons in a row. Far from a durable starter but those are so rare anyhow.
Comps -
Matt Harrison - 4 years $8,000,000, reliever turned started with 2 good seasons Jeff Samardzija 4 years - $9,000,000, reliever turned started with 2 good seasons Mike Leake - 4 years $8,000,000, more consistent less Ks Doug Fister - 3 years $9,000,000, inconsistent yet solid
I dont think Pomeranz is as good as Keuchel or Quintana who are probably 9+million, and he's somewhere in the mix of the starters above, so I will offer -
3 years @ $8,500,000 or $8,500,000 (2018 NTC) (2020)

I hope you don't regret this re-sign the way I do the Jeff S one.

Very similar to Shark. Coming off a career year at age 29 and looking to build. However he does have his injury concerns so it makes sense to pay Pomeranz a little less.
