Mariners Trade:Paul Fry BAL $300,000 (2024) Rockies Trade:Yoenis Cespedes $2M (2022) Rationale:I struggled trying to find OF's to produce consistently all last year. Losing a lot in FA so trying to fill pieces with cheaper options now. Cespedes is a flyer for me. Hoping he's healthy and can be productive but if he gets hurt in spring and retires it wouldn't surprise me. But for a $2M investment I'll take the risk. Fry is a cheap long term asset who has potential even though he has struggled at times. Probably some risk on both sides but nothing too crazy. How they were acquired:Fry was drafted by the Mariners in the 17th round of the 2013 Amateur draft www.baseball-reference.com/players/f/frypa01.shtmlCespedes was a FA signing by the Rockies here bigs.freeforums.net/thread/4298/yoenis-cespedes-000-2022-rockiesThanks to Rockies for a quick and easy deal.

Rockies accept
Another bullpen arm with additional years of control may benefit my team as we rebuild
