Mets trade 2021 3rd FYPD (3.22)
Phillies trade RP - Hector Neris - $300,000 (2021)
The Why Neris for me was more of a luxury. He is in last year of contract and i am on the fringe of maybe contending in my division 11.5 games back with 2 teams in front of me (I will focus on holds now instead of saves). But with all the injuries i have I realize i dont have the depth that i need. So, I am moving assets to get more controllable players that i like or draft picks. Not sure if the TAB will feel this is too light of return for another closer. But an FYI I only had 2 teams inquire about Melancon and 1 team inquire about Nerris. So sometimes the value of the player is what you can get for him.
How acquired - Mets never traded FYPD Neris - originally signed with Phillies in 2010

Trade accepted by both teams, and well explained. Contract posted and draft pick ownership is verified.

Personally I don't feel like this is light for Neris, he's much less dependable than Melancon on a worse team and he has higher ratios. This seems about right for him.
I think it's important to remember that a lot of people have fallen out of checking constantly so that may be why you aren't getting the inquiries you are expecting for these types of players.
Regardless this is a fair return for Neris.
