I think a change to RF, CF & LF would be better for the 2015 season. One reason, as stated above, is it gives the new teams more time to prepare. Second reason is the change would coincide exactly with the new re-sign period.
(Yes, I'm out of re-signs myself. lol. However, even though I've been here since 2011, 2 of my 3 re-signs were done by the previous GM, thereby limiting what I could do.)

I would be fine waiting until 2015 if that is what teams wanted to do that is why I made that an option in the poll. I have 2 re-signs left but no one really worthy so I am probably going to not use them LOL which will happen occasionally too I traded away some guys I would used re-signs on in the last year.

I'm a 3 OF fan and don't agree with the realism argument. No MLB team would ever play with only 2 OF's if they didn't have a true CF. and most OF's can play any of the spots if needed without totally embarrassing themselves. Heck, a great number of infielders can and do play OF on occasion. Brett Gardner is not likely to play a single game in NY this season as a CF, can he not field that position?

Them signing Ellsbury shows exactly what they think of Gardner as CFer IMO just as it did when they acq Curtis Granderson. Gardner is clearly not viewed in NY as a legit CF or they would not have acq 2 other guys to play CF everyday over him. He is a "LFer".

But in the end we are a fair staff which is why we have re-opened the vote despite it being decided previously that we would be moving from 3 OF to RF, CF and LF this year (2014) under the previous admin.

I just voted for 3 OF's, but after some thought I think I actually prefer the LF/CF/RF. Like the idea of adding more realism and could add to more fun with roster construction. Any idea when this could be settled?

If the rf, lf, cf wins i would suggest it goes from 2015.
It does look like people prefer 3x of at the moment

Probably make a ruling for 2014 a little after Christmas. We can always re-visit for 2015 and beyond.
